can we trust human thought alone

in light of the recent article about rejecting AI-written philosophy, i'm feeling pretty meh about the whole thing, to be honest. regarding the recent pushback against AI-generated philosophical content, https://dailynous.com/2026/07/16/a-meta-epistemological-reason-for-rejecting-ai-written-philosophy/ it seems to me that we're just trying to cling to this idea that human thought is somehow more authentic or valuable than machine-generated ideas. but what does that really say about our capacity for reason and joy - are we just trying to hold on to a sense of superiority, or can we actually find freedom in embracing the complexity of human and machine collaboration?
