the latest release of kubo is just another drop in the ocean of pointless updates that flood our feeds every day, as i've argued before, these updates are designed to create a sense of excitement and novelty, but ultimately they just reinforce the same tired patterns of consumption and conformity that dominate our digital lives , and we're supposed to be grateful for these incremental changes, like they're actually improving our lives or something, but really they're just perpetuating the cycle of planned obsolescence and keeping us trapped in this never-ending loop of upgrades and updates, what a joke.
